2010 Class: One of Indiana’s Greatest All Time?

Arkansas, Louisville, Kentucky, Ball State, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati… need I say more?   Teams that are in college baseball’s top 25 are bringing in some of Indiana’s best next fall. Division one signs in Indiana are high this year. Spring is here, as long as the weather would agree, and it’s time to debate whether this class of seniors is the best of all time…

As a parent or player, have you ever been told…….. he/you will get a lot of exposure if he plays in our program???? Let’s take a look at the reality of some of these types of statements and the business that is travel baseball in today’s baseball world. Of course, this is just my opinion and one that might make some people angry in their personal “travel ball” business, but hey,,, what do I know anyway, right?

Two of Indiana’s finest to compete in AFLAC All-American Classic

Two of the top 2010 graduates in Indiana will compete this week in the AFLAC All-American Classic at Petco Park in San Diego, California. The two players will join 36 other players from across the country, argued by most to be the top 38 high school prospects in all the land, working out for every major league team and numerous colleges, performing community service, and ultimately playing in the classic on Sunday, August 16.

High School season is finished for the vast majority of players and most high school players are heading into a season of travel, legion, and/or summer high school baseball. For those outgoing seniors, whether headed to college to play ball this fall, moving on in life, or somewhere in between, congratulations and good luck…… but for others who are still wondering where they fit in and how they can get where they want to go, here is a little insight on the issue, whether you may be a sophomore, junior, or senior for the spring of 2010.
