Extremely loose and athletic, Cunningham emerged over the summer playing with the Indiana Bulls as one of Indiana's top arms, showcasing a mid-to-upper-80s fastball and a 76-77 mph slider. As a junior at Lawrence North, Cunningham posted a 2.75 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 43.1 innings.
